  1. Primary Dual - $40/hour
  2. Advanced/In Your Aircraft - $45/hour

Sean Kline - Director of Training

Sean is proud to be a part of the flight school at Schaumburg Airport. He has had some type of involvement in aviation his entire life (most of which was around Schaumburg Airport), and enjoys being able to make a career of something he is so passionate about. Sean soloed on his 16th birthday, and by the time he was 21 he attained his CFI, CFII, and MEI. Now he is also an ATP rated charter line pilot for Northwest Flyers and flies the King Air 200, Learjet 35A, and Citation Mustang.  Sean is also one of the ground school instructors for Northwest Flyers. He looks forward to making Schaumburg as busy and bustling as it can possibly be, and helping newcomers to aviation gain the experience of a lifetime!

Matt McCormack - Chief Instructor

Born January 25th, 1988 and graduated Conant H.S. in 2006.  Started flying at age 15 and received his Private Pilot Certificate at age 17 out of the Schaumburg Regional Airport.  Joined the Marine Corps straight out of high school and is still in as a reservist.  Between January of 2008 and now he has received his Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, Multi Engine Commercial add on, and became a Flight Instructor in early June, 2010.  He is currently attending Utah Valley University online for a degree in aviation.

Dariusz Tarczynski - Instructor

Dariusz started flying back in 1992 and graduated from Embry Riddle University in 1998.  He became a CFI and CFII in 1998 and also spent 3 years flying Citation Jets in Mexico.  Along with instructing with Northwest Flyers, he is also a Corporate Pilot and a Captain on a Lear 35 and a Hawker 800. 

Ben Abdallah - Instructor

Ben has been involved in private and commercial aviation since 1994. Since that time, he has been highly involved in private aviation charter brokering, ferrying of aircraft to customers, has experience in 135 and 121 Operations in addition to Commercial Aviation Dispatch and Flight Operations and has been a distinguished member of AOPA since 1995 and NAFI since 2009. He has achieved CFI, CFII, and AGI as of 2003. Ben has flown nationwide within the United States including Hawaii, Canada, and a majority of central Europe for a number of years. Ben is a family man, a father of three, he highly enjoys teaching his students about his passion for aviation and extensive knowledge and shares his excitement for when students progress personally in their achievements and advancements.

Steve Amy - Instructor

Steven found his love for flying in 1989 when he started flying hang gliders. Started teaching people how to fly Hang Glider and Paragliders in 1992 and did this professionally until 2000. He attained his Commercial Pilots License in Single and Multi Airplanes and in 2002 and Flight Instructor Certificate in 2003. Steven truly enjoys sharing his passion of flying with others. With over 500 hours of airplane instruction given, he says he will never stop teaching, “There is nothing as rewarding to me, than helping others realize their dreams of flight". As an instructor I strive to determine how my students learn. After all, learning is part of the fun.”  His future goals are to obtain his ATP and Multi-Engine Instructor Rating along eventually a type rating in a jet. He says, "Schaumburg Airport has the feel of a grass-roots aerodrome in a state-of-the-art facility.”

Andrej Filipovic - Instructor

Andrej started casually flying in 2000 and has a Bachelors degree in aviation from Lewis University where he graduated in 2004.  Between April 2008 and April 2010, Andrej has attained all of his ratings including his Certified Flight Instructor Certificate.  He has been instructing ever since and flying traffic reporting for a radio station in the Chicago area.  He highly enjoys teaching and shares passion for aviation and flying with rest of the instructors at Northwest Flyers.
